Hurricanes Basketball Club welcomes you as new players to the 2024 basketball season and hopes that your participation in basketball will prove to be enjoyable and rewarding.
As in previous years, Hurricanes Basketball Club promotes a team approach to the game with the intention to play to the very best of their abilities and to encourage the development of good sportsmanship within our teams as well as with teams and clubs we compete against.
Hurricanes Basketball Club is reliant on VOLUNTEERS (coaches, team managers, team scorers, committee membership). If you have an interest in volunteering to support the club - no matter how big or small, your assistance will be greatly appreciated.
All team training will be held at Sunnybank Hills State School (77 Symons Rd, Sunnybank Hills QLD 4109).
Team training times and coaches will be communicated as soon as possible after close of registrations.
IF YOU HAVE MORE THAN ONE CHILD PLAYING FOR THE CLUB YOU WILL NEED TO REGISTER EACH OF YOUR CHILD INDIVIDUALLY.
New Player's Club Fee & SWM Annual Fee by Age Group

FOR NEW PLAYERS, THE CLUB FEE INCLUDES TEAM SHORTS - MANDATORY TO BE PURCHASED.
This fee applies to new players and players requiring new shorts only. - Fees for your second season will thus reduce as you already have club shorts. (Under 8 and Training Only (Brisbane Bullets) are not required to wear Hurricanes shorts; therefore, shorts are not included in fees).
Registration Fee is compulsory for all players. All players must register with the Club & South West Metro Basketball Inc (SWMBI).
Hurricanes Club fees are payable by EFTPOS, PAYPAL or direct deposit into the clubs Bank of Qld A/C:

SWMBI registration, Basketball QLD and Basketball Australia registration is only available online and is paid through Basketball Connect. More information and a link to register will be emailed out in your team welcome email.
NOTE: SWMBI is paid per season, BQ and BA are paid annually so if you paid for it in season 1, in season 2 you only pay for SWMBI registration again.
ALL PLAYERS MUST WEAR HURRICANES CLUB PLAYING SHORTS.
UNIFORMS:
Hurricanes will supply team singlets to all age groups. The club supplied singlets remain the property of the club at all times. Any singlets that are damaged through inappropriate use will incur a $50.00 replacement fee.
Alternatively, you may purchase your own club singlet at a cost to be advised which will allow you to customise with your surname and number of choices. Choice of numbers are limited and cannot be guaranteed from #0 to #99 to ensure no clash with club supplied jerseys. Our vendor may reserve the right to limit what is available at the time of ordering.
